The term “original” is far beyond this album, but maybe that is just the part that I like about it. Clean and high vocals, nice but not impressive guitar solo’s, cool breaks and song structures, and no keyboards are used anywhere on this album, which I prefer. Add to this the hymns and sing-a-long parts and you have an album that probably will please everybody with a true heavy metal heart. Nope, it is not a killer album, but one that sure as hell fits perfectly in the Wizard catalogue up until now. I mean, if you so desire to play the Manowar way, this is the way to do it. My personal favourites: ‘On Your Knees’, ‘Fire and Blood’, and ‘The Magic Goes On’. Fans of Manowar, Virgin Steele, Afflicted and Sacred Steel would do wisely to check ‘Magic Circle’ out.
