Accept attempted again to crack the lucrative American market with their 1985 release, METAL HEART. Like its predecessor BALLS TO THE WALL a year earlier, METAL HEART is heavy yet melodic rock. The ingredients remain the same--singer Udo Dirkschneider's rough vocals are on display throughout, as is the shredding lead guitar of Wolf Hoffmann. Longtime Scorpions producer Dieter Dierks joins the crew for the album, wisely not interfering with the Accept sound.
Standout tracks include such amped-up rockers as the title track, "Midnight Mover" (which contained a truly dizzying accompanying video), "Screaming for a Love Bite," and "Up to the Limit." Although Accept seemed to be on the verge of breaking through to the big time, Dirkschneider would exit the band after just one more album, 1986's RUSSIAN ROULETTE.

"Lady Lou" is a solid entry track with some Van Halen swagger, and a reigned in performance from the fucking madman Udo Dirkschneider, one of the finest human beings to ever breathe air. "Tired of Me" is a scorcher with some explosive melodies and dirty ass blues edge. The ballad "Seawinds" is perhaps the album's most beloved track, a beautiful, elegaic performance. But in my opinion the best tracks on the album are the screaming, intense "Sounds of War" and the ballsy blues metal of "Hell Driver", despite the goofy lyrics.

All Areas – Worldwide is a double live album by Accept. It was released in Japan and U.S.A. under the title The Final Chapter in 1998.[3]
The first fourteen tracks were recorded while Accept toured supporting their 1993 Objection Overruled release, while the final six tracks were recorded during support of their 1994 Death Row offering.

Balls to the Wall is the fifth album by the German metal band Accept. European label Lark Records released the album in December 1983, but its US release was delayed until a month later as to not compete with the band's then-current album Restless and Wild, which had arrived in the US in early 1983, and is Accept's only record to attain Gold certification in America. The album's lead single, "Balls to the Wall", became Accept's signature tune and remains a metal anthem and trademark in the genre.

This is the first compilation that explores albums beyond "Russian Roulette", so that in itself makes it worthwhile for the uninitiated; what's a bit of a disadvantage is the eclectic track selection: from the wimpy beginning of "Mistreated", you wonder what this disc has in store for you; "Classics? perhaps not, but some "rocks 'n' ballads", for sure! Though I find their more recent albums (e.g. "Death Row" and "Predator") somewhat uneven, we're still treated to tracks that are more in their customary genre: "Walking In The Shadow" and "Guardian Of The Night" for example, as well as the KROKUS-like "Hard Attack".

This record is brimming with classic hooks and riffs from the opening "Death Row", to the slamming "Sodom and Gomorrah", to the grinding "Stone Evil" or even the sliding "What Else?". The lyrics are politically charged with an actual mind behind them and Udo delivers them with such conviction that it might matter little as to what lyrics are printed in the sheet. Udo could sing the phone book in this manner and I'd purchase it! Wolf Hoffamanns riffs AND solos are both singable without one song falling under the radar of at least being fun. This may not have been the epic "two guitar" Accept of old...but this new form is stripped down, sweating with fever and ready to fight the power.

Eat the Heat album by Accept was released Feb 17, 2004 on the BMG (distributor) label. Upon the departure of longtime singer Udo Dirkschneider after 1986's RUSSIAN ROULETTE, Accept decided to carry on and find a new singer. Vocalist David Reece's Accept debut, 1989's EAT THE HEAT, shows the band moving in a slightly more commercial direction to their previous releases (although ROULETTE had offered a few hints) comparable to that of then-current chart toppers Def Leppard and Queensryche.

Hungry Years album by Accept was released Jan 01, 2003 on the Universal Distribution label. Originally released in the mid-'80s, Hungry Years has been reissued, re-released, and remastered many times in many countries. The most common American version perhaps being the 1995 Castle issue. Short and to the point, Hungry Years includes some of the best selections from Accept's early catalog, including I'm a Rebel, Breaker, and the metal classic Restless and Wild. Rightfully, nothing is selected from the group's woeful eponymous 1979 debut. All three songs culled from Restless and Wild -- including the title track, "Princess of the Dawn," and "Fast as a Shark" -- are career highlights for Accept, not just the early era covered on Hungry Years. The tracks taken from the other two albums are among the best each have to offer, but any fans interested in the undeveloped sound of "The King" and "Midnight Highway" would probably want to seek out the releases these songs first appeared on.

Kaizoku-Ban is a live mini album or EP by Accept. It was recorded in Nagoya, Japan September 19, 1985, and released on vinyl the same year. It was later re-released as Live in Japan in 1992. Though this is an official release, the title translates as "Pirate Edition". The cassette tape version of this release had the unique feature of having all six songs recorded on both sides. Because of the duration of the six songs it was feasible to release it this way.

Accept is a German heavy metal band from the town of Solingen, originally assembled in the early 1970s by Udo Dirkschneider. In the 90s, when many other hard rock bands weren't doing as well as the previous decande, Accept was still as good as ever. This album may not have quite the level of intensity of Death Row or Restless & Wild, but it's definitely close. This is a typical Accept album; it is fast, aggressive, & technically adept hard rock.

This is pure blood & guts street level metal with no time for sissy poser wannabes, all filtered through an obviously foreign (german/european) sensibility thankfully devoid of american style concessions to glamor and rock stardom! Despite some opinions to the contrary Udo's vocals are a perfect compliment to the sound and lyrics. His audio and physical lack of beauty may have kept Accept from achieving "stardom" but in my opinion kept them perfectly on track as far as the aesthetics and ethics of true metal go. Accept remain today as they were then, obscure at best outside metal circles, and a joke to music snobs who don't know any better, but that's O.K. only the faithful have a right to know anyway...
