Cryptic Vision is a progressive rock band from Florida. They have been compared to groups like Yes, Kansas, Spock's Beard, Pink Floyd, and Saga. Their debut concept album "Moments Of Clarity" was written and performed by the nucleus of Rick Duncan, Todd Plant and Robert Van Dyne, who have been working together on various projects since the late 80's. The new CD was mixed in Runcorn England by Pete Coleman and features an all star cast including former Kansas violinist David Ragsdale, former Zon/Ian Hunter Keyboardist Howard Helm, Ralph Santolla (currently touring with Iced Earth) and former Neurotica(Ozzfest 02) members, Shawn Bowen and Kelly Shaefer.

Formed in 1979 on California, US the band under the Miraaj moniker made their first demo recording which was not other than their most famous track called Midnight Fantasy. It was on 1983 when the band -under the Cassle moniker- recorded four songs -including Midnight Fantasy- Azra records made a limited release of Midnight Fantasy as a picture disc single, an EP including the recorded four songs was to follow but this never happened. 14 years later on 1997 this EP show the light of the day under a bootleg pressing of 100 copies, this release which is now authorized by the band, brought the name of Cassle to attention of all those who was haunting obscure Metal.

Tracks 1-4 recorded and mixed in January 1983 by Larry Forkner in Hollywood, CA.
Track 5 recorded and mixed in December 1982 by Larry Forkner in Hollywood, CA. Performed as Revenge.
Tracks 6-7 recorded and mixed in 1983 by David Johnson in Hermosa Beach, CA in the rehearsal studio.
Tracks 8-9 recorded live in 1983 at Radio City, Anaheim.
Track 10 recorded and mixed in August of 1980 by Charlie Thompson in Hollywood, CA. Performed as Miraaj.
Track 11 is complete voice over session in 1983 for the Cassle demo tape at WoodHolly Productions in Hollywood, CA.

All tracks remastered in May 2010 by Colin Davis, Imperial Mastering, Concord, CA.
Live tracks remixed by Russ Johnson, Hollywood, CA.

Originally released on Azra/Iron Works as a testpressing in micro quantity.
At the same time the track 'Midnight Fantasy' was released as a one-sided picture disc single.
Bootleg 12" made around 1997. Picture with the castle is the cover of the bootleg.
The EP was later remastered as part of the Cassle compilation album in 2011 which also contains unreleased, demo, and live tracks.
This rip is from the original EP and not from the 2011 Cassle compilation, which are remasters.

After Warlord Bill Tsamis created a project with name Lordian Winds and recorded some demos for the My Name Is Man release.But never released.Some songs re-recorded and used on next band of Tsamis "Lordian Guard" .In some blogs these demos named as Warlord-1982 Lordian Winds demos,but i believe that are Lordian Winds-My Name Is Man. The album 666 by Aprhodite's Child is one of the most superb Art-Rock works of all time, combining progressive Rock with crucial concept themes.

666 (The Apocalypse of John, 13/18) is a double album by psychedelic/progressive art rock group Aphrodite's Child. It is one of the early cult albums in rock history, and is still popular among fans today. It was released in 1972, and was the primary vehicle/effort for the Vangelis project. It had a minor Album Oriented Radio hit in "The Four Horsemen," and a nearly pop hit with "Break." The album was ostensibly an adaptation of Biblical passages from the book of the same name, but was also very experimental in lyrics and composition, including a curious piece of performance art in which Greek actress Irene Papas performs a struggle to chant a mantra while in the throes of hysteria and sexual climax. Essentially, 666 was Vangelis' concept, created with an outside lyricist, Costas Ferris. The music that Vangelis was creating for 666 was much more psychedelic and progressive rock oriented than anything the band had done before. The music itself was an impressive display of Vangelis' abilities, combining psychedelic and progressive rock with ethnic instruments, choral chanting, recitations, and very advanced use of synthesizers and keyboards for the time. In time the album became recognized as one of the most important early progressive rock works, and a defining example of the concept album. 666 also made Vangelis an underground name to watch, and in 1974 earned him an offer from Jon Anderson to join Yes following the departure of Rick Wakeman.

After shortening their name to "Socrates" from the original "Socrates Drank The Conium", Greece's favorite and most famous rock trio collaborated with former Aphrodite's Child keyboard wizard Vangelis Papathanassiou (yes, THAT Vangelis) for this album, which is arguably their magnum opus and the closest they've ever come to the progressive rock genre.
