Info : Eddie Smith quit Medusa to join the glam rock band Wrathchild, and they split up altogether when Lance Perkins followed him a short while later (a drummer known as Phil had briefly replaced Smith).
Steve Grimmett then went on to join the re-started version of Grim Reaper.

Though spending most of their career as a four-piece, Medusa briefly had a second guitarist whose name is now lost to history.

In 2001 Metal Blade released its own remaster outside Europe, supervised by Joey DeMaio. This Silver Edition has been digitally remastered from the original tapes. Pretty Maids were formed in 1981 by friends Ken Hammer and Ronnie Atkins in Horsens, Denmark. They were initially a cover band first named Pretty Pretty Panick, but soon started writing their own material and a self-financed demo resulted in a deal with the English record label Bullet Records.

Despite the utterly metal cover artwork, Nightwing's 1982 album Black Summer finds the band moving solidly into keyboard-driven melodic hard rock territory, albeit with a darker edge. It's a heavy album, with a somewhat more sinister overall feel than most melodic rock albums from that era, and has a sound that channels elements of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Magnum, Kansas, Rainbow, and Axe. Even though the band included a prominent use of keyboards, Black Summer was an undeniably heavy rock album that is not too far removed from what the metal bands of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) were releasing at the time.

The set list is fantastic, of course. Note that, opposed to the audio release of Sabbath covers with the same name (which Ozzy dismisses outright), this film captures a full performance of the Diary of a Madman tour, showcasing gems from the first two classic albums along with versions of Sabbath’s “Iron Man,” “Children of the Grave,” and “Paranoid.” The Ozzman himself was energetic and engaging, and it’s great seeing him perform those songs during that early era. The real problem here is that his vocals are painfully overdubbed. It’s so noticeable that it detracts from the experience. The rest of the band is tight and proficient, even if Airey’s accompaniment occasionally becomes slightly obtrusive on songs normally keyboard-free. They’ve done their best to clean up the quality of the recording, but it is definitely a product of the technology of that era. Also, there are no bonus features of any kind. Mostly off-setting this list of negatives is the fact that Speak of the Devil is dirt cheap. (You should be able to find it for about twelve bucks.) It's clearly not required viewing, but Speak of the Devil documents a legend in the midst of major transition, and is good nostalgic fun.
