This is the strongest release since Fourth Judgement. Not that the other albums in between were weak by any means but this one everything just seems to come together. More pronounced keyboards in certain songs bring a depth missed in prior releases. Vocals (both lead and backing vocals) are stronger. Songwritting both music and vocal has matured and the band sounds like they all showed up on the same day. Tracks 2,4,6 and 7 are worth notable mention.

Lion Music has consistently been putting out excellent instrumental rock and metal CDs. So I was a little surprised to receive Metal Majesty's new CD 2005. The second surprise was in the fact that although Metal Majesty's roots are in Metal, this is far from a Metal CD. The opening track "We Rocked" has a distinct UFO feel.
Actually, most of the CD has a feel you have heard before. "Burying Heather" has this Beatles Eleanor Rigby string line through it, "Ready to Roar" is a Van Halen imitation, and "Love Will Make You Bleed" has a distinct 80s MTV feel to it. So is all this allusion to other artists good or bad? In the case of Metal Majesty's, it is definitely good.

Well, if the surviving members of Queen had done their homework, they would have offered the lead vocal position to Metal Majesty's Aldous Byron Valensia Clarkson instead. Ya see, Valensia (as he apparently likes to be called) is an absolute deadringer for Mercury. In fact the similarity is scary, so much so, that his existence could start rumors that Mr. Mercury never actually died. You will hear a small vocal part that is very similar to the famous "Bohemian Rhapsody" on "License To Chill" too.

Best Of Def Leppard (or The Best Of) is a compilation of some of Def Leppard's most popular songs, including "Pour Some Sugar On Me," "Love Bites," and "Bringin' On The Heartbreak." The album charted at #6 on the UK Albums Chart.
Best Of supplements 1995's Vault as the definitive collection of Def Leppard's work. In fact, Best Of Disc 1 is essentially Vault with the addition of "Long Long Way To Go.
A 2-CD limited edition was released in a slipcase with more obscure fan-favourite album cuts on the second disc, including tracks from more recent albums. In the UK, a cover of The Kinks' "Waterloo Sunset" was included as a bonus. This foreshadowed the band's forthcoming '70s cover album Yeah!

The first thing that I noticed on Third Wish was the awesome vocals of John West. West is no stranger to the hard rock and metal world. He has sung in the bands Royal Hunt & Artension. He has a killer voice with an impressive range. I can’t believe that I haven’t listened to more of his stuff, but I will soon be on the hunt for some of his previous works. David “Rock” Feinstein is the cousin of Ronnie James Dio, and has played with him in several of his previous bands including Ronnie Dio and the Prophets, and Elf. What I didn’t know is just how good of a guitarist Feinstein is! His guitar work on Third Wish is pretty amazing.
The influences of Black Sabbath and DIO on Feinstein’s music is clearly obvious throughout Third Wish. The songs are filled with heavy riffs, excellent solos, and big vocals. If you are a fan of either of those bands, you are going to find a lot to like on Feinstein’s Third Wish.
