The most instrumentally dense, musically accomplished release from Lake of Tears, Forever Autumn is probably the group's finest accomplishment. With its metal-cum-folk dramatics and melancholy harmonicas, Lake of Tears draws what must be an unintended comparison to American alt-rock prankster outfitWeen. It's very doubtful that members of either band even heard of -- much less listened to -- the other, but Forever Autumn's high-contrast folk/prog/metal (especially the sedate and conversational vocals on tracks like "The Homecoming") bears an eerie comparison to many a Ween classic. All random musical associations aside, the dense, well-arranged "So Fell Autumn Rain," "Hold on Tight," and "To Blossom Blue" stand out as career bests for Lake of Tears. Listening to Lake of Tears' mid-'90s work, it would have been hard to guess that the group could assemble a recording this realized and well-performed by the end of the decade. That said, Forever Autumn is very far from being a superior rock or metal recording. It is simply a fine effort from a lesser '90s Euro-metal band.

Code Red was an attempt to reinvent their old material with some of their newer music, and it was also with a different line-up the band. Code Red perhaps sounds a bit rehashed but the variety among the songs is more than great. The album starts hard with berserker thrash tracks like Code Red and What Hell Can Create, and after that we have slower but heavier track called Tombstone. Sodom also succeeds to mould some small Slayer influences in the three upcoming tracks, and by that I mean both in song appearance and vocal work. Liquidation sounds like a death-forged song with a sinister yet groovy and catchy riff.

"Endorama" is to some people an interesting release with some different and exciting material, but to others completely unappealing and dull.
The Gothic features in this album is exciting and it's fitting to the theme of the album and the songs are more or less Heavy Metal with Gothic and Industrial influences. There are some throw aways, like "Tyranny" and "Golden Age" but there is also some really good compositions, like the title track, "Chosen Few", "Pandemonium" and "Everlasting Flame".

While Testaments first 2 albums: 87's The Legacy and 88's The New Order were milestones in the thrash metal genre (with the latter being the best thrash album of all time in my opinion) the band started to slip on 89's Practice what you Preach. With the exeption of the title track, Envy Life, Sins of Omission, and Greenhouse Effect, the album was sub-par and Testament started to lose their edge.

This is a solo project of Markus Grosskopf of Helloween featuring Uli Kusch on Drums. The history of the band goes back to 1990 when Markus Grosskopf and a few friends founded the band Mr. Prooster while Helloween weren't allowed to perform because of legal problems with their label Noise Records. In 1998 they came back together under the new name Shockmachine.

Debut album "Labyrinth" released in 1999 by Black Arrow Records.The album is recorded in August 1998 in TTS Studios by Jorg-Rainer Friede. The recordings take 4 weeks. 1 week for drum recording, 2 weeks for bass, guitar, keyboards and vocals and 7 days for mixing. The sound is more progressiv. The band records some of the songs in a quite slow manner, so they don't sound as heavy as the did in the rehearsal room. Nevertheless the band is stunned by their first studio recording.
One song, called 'Labyrinth' is recorded but doesn't make it on the album, because producer Jorg-Rainer Friede doesn't think it's a good one. Because of the fact that the album was planned to be named after that song, and because of the cover artwork by Christian Weber was already done, the band decides to call the album LABYRINTH, although the title song didn't make it on the album.
