Info:
NANOWAR was conceived in 2003 and released two albums the same year, True Metal Of The World and Triumph Of The True Metal Of Steel. If you can't tell from the album and song titles (or the first five sentences of this review), NANOWAR pays reverence to their Heavy Metal idols by making fun of them. But in the most loving way.
Admittedly, MANOWAR isn't the only attack here. They're the main focus, as ''Tricycles Of Steel'' ''True Metal Of The World'' ''Triumphant March Of The Nano-Warrior, and maybe even ''Metal-La-La-La'' sound like they could be built on songs MANOWAR and the like would play, while ''Gioca Truth'' is a medley of MANOWAR songs, with some of the lyrics modified slightly. ''Triumphant March of the Nano-Warrior'' is all about the grand and terrible Nano-Warrior visiting his grandmother and ''Metal-La-La-La'' is well, quite frankly, the singer is apparently masturbating to Metal in the shower.
Then there's ''King'' with LUCA TURILLI-esque dramatics (check out what everything he's king of! The list is like a minute long), ''The Number of the Bitch,'' the IRON MAIDEN classic rewritten with lyrics now about phone sex and the duo of ''Introducing The Power (Potentia Magni Galdi Vobis)'' and ''Power Of The Power Of The Power (Of The Great Sword),'' the former being an epic introduction and the latter of which is just as long as the title. ''Entra L'Uomo Di Sabbia'' is METALLICA's ''Enter Sandman'' done in Italian, but that's not quite so parodyish.
