 “Curators of the realm” is the title of the amazing 4 track ep the band released back in 1989. Genuinely progressive American metal at its best, with slow atmospheric and faster technical parts creating a unique musical experience, highlighted by Dan Edward’s theatrical vocals delivering truly poetic lyrics, John Alvarado's beautiful guitarwork and touches of pure insanity like the elephant wails on the “Caged animals” track. In addition to those 4 songs, we have 8 more previously unreleased tracks equal in quality (but with worse production values) to the ones included in the EP, as well as a dvd including footage from King’s ransom live appearances (watch Dan Edwards closely for the definition of “theatrical frontman”). A very complete package, which is an example on how re-issues should be done.
