Info:
The previous MORNINGSTAR-CD "Hell" had been a totally superfluous Thrash Metal-album. Power- and passionless! With their new album "Weight Of The Hammer" the Finns really have tried their best and changed their style a little. They no longer walk the thrashy path, but have saddled the Epic Metal-horse!
The ride is mostly in mid-paced regions, but the songs are just well structured, everything to the point! I'd like to point out the song "Pirates Of The Northern Sea", which starts really fast, but then grows into a mid-tempo-monster. Or "Manala", a Doom-song that would have done ST.VITUS credit! And then we still have the great intro "The Death Of Klaus Fleming" that turns into the song "The Sign Of Turisas", could just as well have stood on the last FALKENBACH!
