"Angels from the Past" is a song Marty Friedman brought to Deuce from Vixen. It was recorded under the name "Angels from the Dust" on some Vixen demos.

"Angels From The Dust" was written by Marty Friedman, Billy Giddings, and Tom Gattis while in the band, DEUCE. DEUCE (later renamed TENSION) was the first band for these three musicians. Marty re-recorded the song with VIXEN. These song credits are documented on the VIXEN album, as well as in a new documentary about TENSION called "TENSION: 25 Years Underground" which contains interviews with Marty Friedman, Tom Gattis, and Billy Giddings. When the song was recorded on the "Breaking Point" LP, the title was changed to "Angels from the Past".
